Great Torrington is a friendly, welcoming town, set in the midst of rolling, unspoilt green countryside. Great Torrington is in the very heart of Tarka Country, a landscape captured by Henry Williamson in his novel Tarka the Otter in 1927.

Famous throughout the region for our superb selection of Real Ales, we are equally as popular for our food which is served in generous portions.
